What is the purpose of Control Gear?

Electronic transformers and LED drivers are used for several different reasons. From limiting and stabilising the current in an electrical circuit, to ensuring continuous operation of the lamp, or providing ignition voltage, reducing/eliminating flicker and noise, reducing energy consumption and increasing efficiency.
